Time for those flip-flops and shark fin hats! On Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, the Boatyard Bar & Grill will host its 3rd Annual Boatyard Beach Party to benefit the Annapolis Maritime Museum. This time, the Beach Party will be held on the Museum’s own beach, at 723 Second Street, Eastport - where 2nd Street meets Back Creek.
Featured entertainers are The John Frinzi Band and James “Sunny Jim” White from Florida and Doyle Grisham, long-time steel guitar great of the Coral Reefer Band.
The Boatyard Bar & Grill is importing lots of Parrotheads, palm trees, sharks, and loads of good time beach party fun.
The Museum’s beach and waterside campus will be transformed into a tiki village by Hargrove, Inc., the area’s premier event design firm. “Sunny Jim” White will start things off for a whole night of “the songs you know by heart” until the party closes at 9 p.m.
Last year the Beach Party raised $50,000 toward the funds needed to rebuild the McNasby building at the Museum.
Beach Party attire is Key West/Parrothead casual and the $50 party ticket includes lots of tasty food and two free drinks. Come by Come by car, dinghy, kayak, canoe, water taxi or on foot!
Tickets go on sale August 15 – last year’s event was a sell-out
The Beach Party is sponsored by Comcast; BB&T; Hargrove, Inc.; Annapolis Jaguar/Land Rover; Wine Cellars of Annapolis; SpinSheet; PropTalk; What’s Up? Annapolis magazine; and WRNR.
The Boatyard Bar & Grill, located at Severn and 4th in Eastport – is about pint drinks, fresh food, a healthier Bay, sailing fast, fishing with friends, and happy kids.
