Celebration of Lease Signing
for Museum Facility at McNasby Building

Sunday, March 17, 4-8 p.m.

Bob Zentz

Legendary Chesapeake Bay folk musician Bob Zentz will join Eastern Shore singer/songwriter Janie Meneely and Them Eastport Oyster Boys for a St. Patrick's Day party to celebrate the Annapolis Maritime Museum's new lease for the McNasby building.

The lease for the building, owned by the City of Annapolis and located at the Back Creek end of Second Street in Eastport, is due to be signed and in effect on Sunday, March 1, 2002.

"You've seen the 'before and after' pictures of renovation projects," explains museum board chairman, Peg Wallace. "Well, this will be a chance to see McNasby's in its 'before' condition. Once we've pinned down the funding from the state, the city, the county, grants and private donations, we'll get busy renovating the property and turning into a premier maritime museum. I admit it's in pretty poor shape right now, but just wait till you see the 'after!'"

Refreshments will be served. A $10 donation is requested to defray the costs of the building's pending renovation.
